In 2000 Tamura Eriko left Japan for the U.S.to make her dreams come true. SHe was a successeful actor and singer in Japan, but she wanted to expand her acting career in the U.S. Her heart was filled with hope.

In the U.S., Erikotook English and acting lessons. She always recorded the class and listened to it again and again at home. She could not speak English well,so it was difficult for herto follow the acting lessons. She sometimes felt frustrated because she courd not express her self well, even when she understood whather teacher said. At first, Eriko thought,“If I do my best, I will get a chance in two or three years”

But life in the U.S. was not easy. Hollywood isfilled with a lot of talented people. Day after day, she went to auditions. She worked hard and spent many weeks preparing for each audition. but she could not get any acting jobs. She almost lost hope. But Eriko did not give up her dream.

For seven years, she kept working hard, and at last, she got a role in the popular American TV drama series“HEROES”Then she was cast in her first Hollywood film, “Dragonball Evolution.” Eriko says, “Never give up your dreams. Just believe in yourself.keep working, and the path will open up for you.”

7年間、彼女は懸命に努力しました。そして、ついに、彼女は、アメリカの人気ドラマシリーズ“HEROES”で配役を得ました。そして、 彼女の最初のハリウッド映画である“Dragonball Evolution”に出演しました。英里子さんは次のように言いました。「夢をあきらめないでください。自分自身を信じて、努力し続ければ、あなたの前に道は開きます。」
